In the news: Miller Lite's Branded Candles Sell Out in Days

Even though Miller Lite sales were up 9.5% in off-premise U.S. sales in 2020, Molson Coors Beverage Co., the holding company of Miller Lite, reported a 3.1% sales decline in the third quarter of 2020. And Miller Lite didn't even have to suffer the same reproach that it's competitor, Corona, endured in 2020.

Little things we took for granted, like happy hour feel, can like distant memories these days. Sure, you can enjoy your favorite drinks from home, and you can watch sports from your living room. It's a candle that will help recreate the atmosphere and ambience that's missing.

Thanks to three scented candles, you can make your home smell like a “Game Day Bar”  in minutes: (Salted Peanut, Jalapeño, Crackled Leather), “Dive Bar” (Must, Tobacco, Pine, Yeast) or “Beer Garden” (Green Moss, Warm Pretzel, Cracked Wood, Sunburn). However, the three candle scents are sold out already. “The Bar Smells burn for 50 hours. Our stock did not last that long,” the Miller Lite online store discloses. Miller Lite donated proceeds from the candle sales to the hospitality industry via the U.S. Bartenders' Guild Foundation.

Society is starting to open back up little by little, depending on where you’re located. But there’s still a market for branded items that make home feel a little bit more like a day out. Most sports are still being played behind closed doors, so sports teams are still using tailgate kits and branded items that you’d receive at the ticket gate in other ways. Something simple, like a candle, that makes your house feel a little more festive is a creative way to fill a void at this time in history.
